Big Street Sweep

is an eight week program by the City of Norman, intended to complete the winter storm debris removal process by cleaning public curb and guttered streets in urban Norman of dirt, leaves, and trash buildup.

Street sweeping not only provides aesthetically pleasing streets, but also removes debris that clogs storm sewer inlet structures, which can create flooding issues, and provides for cleaner storm water runoff to our local creek and river systems.

The street sweeping will be performed between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Arbor Lake is scheduled to be done sometime April 7th-16th.  Residents are requested not to park in the street during their scheduled days to allow the maximum area to be cleaned.
